A friend of mine had a Sunday School class, and on Easter, each of the children in the class was given a plastic Easter egg. The class then went into the park next to the church, and the children were told to find something to put into the egg that was a symbol of Easter.
Then the class came back into the classroom, and the teacher opened each student's egg. There were a lot of flower buds and new leaves, and other symbols of new life.
There was a developmentally disabled student in the class, and when the teacher opened his egg, there was nothing in it. She felt embarrassed for him -- that he hadn't found anything to put there. She worried that the rest of the class would make fun of him.

"It's the empty tomb," he said.
